Lancaster Veterinary Specialties is seeking specialists in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Dermatology to join our growing medical team.

At LVS, doctors are supported by an incredible group of nurses that are at the top of their fields. LVS prides itself on being a smaller specialty practice and is the only private, specialist-owned, referral hospital in Lancaster. This smaller non-corporate environment allows us to have a more personal touch with clients and our referring community. LVS is seeking energetic individuals who are focused on the wellbeing of patients and clients while building strong relationships with referring veterinarians. Generous support staff is provided. Veterinary Technicians & Assistants

Overnight Treatment Veterinary Nurse: Part-time (12-24 hours weekly) and the ideal candidate would be available Monday and Tuesday nights from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. Duties include caring for and completing assigned treatments for post-op surgery patients. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and has a strong attention to detail. Candidates must be reliable and be competent in their nursing skills such as placing IV catheters, monitoring vitals and reporting any abnormalities, assist patients when walking, running in house labs, and administering medication via various routes. 2-3 years technical experience. Certification preferred but not required.

Experienced Veterinary Nurse: Full-Time Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Our hospital is equipped with computerized tomography (CT), hyperbaric chamber, an ICU oxygen unit, endoscopy and ultrasound designated treatment areas and much more. An ideal candidate is a motivated and compassionate technician with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the desire to practice advanced medicine. We pride ourselves on making our clients and patients feel like family. The candidate should feel comfortable talking with clients as client communication is a notable part of the position. Duties may include but are not limited to: Obtaining a thorough history of patient, assisting with examinations and procedures, filling prescriptions, giving intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous injections, proficient venipuncture and IV catheter placement, preparing samples for in house or reference laboratories, updating patient charts/ record keeping, performing treatments and administering a variety of medications, anesthetic monitoring during procedures, client education and communication. 3+ years technical experience. Certification preferred but not required.
